Matt is a well-rounded instructor and guide. He works year-round in the rock, alpine, and ski disciplines across Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, California, Mexico, and Canada. Matt is a skier, and he learned to ski on a landfill in Michigan!

Matt has taught AIARE programs for the past eight years and has guided for twelve years. Matt is also a registered dietitian who works with mountain athletes and recreationists.

On any given day in the backcountry you will probably see him munching on a burrito, tamale, or some Nerds clusters.
