Description

Looking to take the next step into the world of ice climbing? This course is design to go beyond the basics of our intro to ice climbing course where you will learn how to build proper ice anchors, techniques and skills for steep and vertical ice, and finish with a Colorado classic ice route.

Participants should be able to provide adequate self care while in cold environments and have experience with ice climbing movements, tying in, and belaying.

Day 1: Ice Anchors: Learn the proper skills and techniques to building ice anchors for top rope management, or a multi pitch route.

Day 2: Steep Ice: Learn the techniques to climbing steep and vertical ice.

Day 3: Classic Ice Climb: Combine all the skills learned into a full day at a classic ice route in Colorado
