Description

Devils Tower National Monument is home to some of the best rock climbing in the west. Hundreds of routes ascend this unique tower and provide amazing climbing opportunities from the famous Durrance Crack to the lesser known classics such as El Matador and Soler Crack. Devils Tower is a once in a lifetime experience and we can help get you to the top!

Located in northeast Wyoming, this incredible piece of rock catches the eye, and its history is varied and unique, just like the climbers who grace it’s walls today. Located on the ancestral homes of the Arapahoe, Cheyenne, Crow, Kiowa, and Lakota peoples, Devils Tower, or “Bear Lodge” shoots up from the surrounding landscape and dominates the imagination.

The first recorded ascent of this magnificent formation was by Willard Ripley and William Rogers on July 4th, 1893. They constructed a wooden ladder to the top by driving wooden pegs and spikes into cracks and features in the rock. Portions of this wooden ladder can still be seen as you walk around the tower. Today, many people attempt to climb to the summit – just without building ladders.

Whether you are brand new to climbing and looking to stand on top of this incredible tower, or an experienced climber in need of a solid partner for the day, we can help you achieve your dreams. We run all summit climbs as two day outings, with a focus on skills and movement on day 1, and a summit attempt on day 2.
