The Moab area is home to dozens of spectacular summits that will both challenge you and leave you speechless. The climbing is incredible, exposed, and nothing short of amazing. Plus, you can't go wrong with the views!

Castleton Tower

Ultra Classic! This one of a kind tower is a great introduction to desert climbing and a great way to spend a day. Steep and exposed!

Description

 

The Mega Classic Moab desert tower and perhaps the most famous in the world! Both the North Chimney (5.9) and Kor-Ingalls Route (5.9+) are excellent objectives.

An hour long hike takes you through drainages, shallow slot canyons, and leaves you at the base where the real fun starts. Steep exposed cracks, offwidth and chimney features, and airy climbing add to the excitement.

Ancient Art

Wind your way up this unique feature with a summit only large enough for 1 person. One of the most spectacular summits of all time!

Description

 

Four pitches of climbing lead to one of the most spectacular summits in all of Utah! The classic route 'Stolen Chimney' climbs handcracks, pinches tiny pebbles, and features the famous 'Diving Board.' Don't let the rating fool you...this climb is very approachable and is a great introduction to multi pitch climbing in the desert.

Ancient Art is a very popular route, and for good reason! Please come with a little patience as not all parties climb the same speed.

Lighthouse Tower

5 pitches of stellar crack climbing and stemming lead to an airy summit with incredible views of the Colorado River below. 

Description

 

Easily one of Moab's best tower climbs! The route Lonely Vigil climbs 5 extraordinary pitches up the east side of Lighthouse tower to a very airy summit. The second pitch has some of the best climbing at the grade and will leave you wishing you were just a little taller!

Abraxas Tower

A shorter tower with a phenomenal last pitch! A great first desert tower with a very short approach and awesome views of the Tombstones.

Description

 

This casual desert tower makes for a great day and features varied crack climbing in an incredible setting. A short hike, excellent views of the Tombstones and base jumpers make Abraxas Tower special. Top off the day with some single pitch cragging at the base and really hone in your crack technique.

Looking Glass Rock

This large, bowl shaped arch holds one of the best rappels and rope swings in all of Utah. A great intro to multi pitch climbing.

Sometimes going up is only half the fun! This large, bowl shaped arch holds one of the best rappels and rope swings in all of Utah. After climbing three easy pitches on beautiful, red sandstone, enjoy the 130 foot free hanging rappel back to the ground and get ready for the swing of your life! This is a great introduction to multi pitch climbing in the desert.
