Having doubts about taking the AMGA Single Pitch Instructor Exam? Not sure you’re ready? Put your mind at ease with this four hour prep day.

This is the perfect chance to review the Single Pitch Instructor examination and assessment process and curriculum with highly trained instructors and SPI Providers familiar with the ins and outs of the exam. We’ll meet you where you are at, review what you need to know for the exam, and build upon what you already know to set you up for a successful exam.

This prep day is normally run like day one of the assessment. You’ll have a chance to run through all the technical skills, including:

  • Institutional anchor building
  • Instructor rappel
  • Base managed assistance skills and transition to a top manage site
  • Lowering
  • Belayed rappel
  • Top managed assistance skills

Your instructor can help refine the way you look at and use terrain, solidify your anchor building strategies, and provide feedback that you can use throughout the assessment process. You’ll also have the chance to ask questions about the exam and hear what examiners want to see students demonstrate.
