Kyle started climbing around the age of 11. He was introduced to the sport through his middle school and the Boy Scouts of America. He quickly became passionate for climbing and continued to climb through high school. After high school, he moved to Crested Butte Colorado and embraced the ski bum life. While there, he gained a lot of experience in backcountry skiing. After a few years of not climbing he went out with a friend and his passion was reignited! He learned to lead traditional routes in the Gunnison area and had an affinity for the hard crack climbs in the area.
Since then Kyle has climbed all around the western US including the deserts of Utah, Nevada and California. As well as many areas in Colorado. His true passion lies in the high alpine routes of the Colorado Rockies. He is also a passionate backcountry skier as well as an alpinist summiting many of the 14ers in the state.
On his off days you can find Kyle playing in the mountains with his son, Quinn, and their dog, Kamala. Soccer, fishing, and camping occupy much of the time they aren't climbing around the Front Range.
His passion for sharing the outdoors is obvious. He loves to teach and to share many of the things he's learned in his experiences.
