Courses are held within a short drive from Denver and focus on ice climbing technique, efficiency, and technical skills. We can help you achieve your winter goals, whether it's climbing steep waterfall ice, or bigger alpine and mixed routes.

This day long course is perfect for anyone looking to get into ice climbing! Develop skills, learn technique, and swing some tools!

Intro to Ice Climbing

 

The Introduction to Ice Climbing Course is perfect for anyone looking to get into ice climbing.  Throughout this day long course, you will develop skills needed to climb all different types of ice.  There will be tons of time to practice new skills since the best way to stay warm is to climb! In this course, you'll learn the techniques to climb all different types of ice flows as well as evaluate the ice you plan to climb.

No experience is necessary for this course.  Perfect for beginners that have never tried ice climbing before.

 

Intro to Dry Tooling

Learn to climb rock with crampons and ice tools! This is an important skill if you plan to climb bigger mountains, or become a stronger ice climber.

Intro to Drytooling

 

Throughout this day long course, you will develop skills needed to climb rock with ice climbing gear.  There will be tons of time to practice climbing and start to feel comfortable moving! In this course, you'll learn techniques suited to drytooling and mixed climbing.

Drytooling is great way to increase your ice climbing ability, confidence, and movement skills. It is also the key to bigger mountains. Let us help as you begin your mixed climbing career!

Prerequisites:
Some experience with indoor or outdoor climbing.
