Description

Prepare for one of the most exhilarating days out rock climbing you will ever have! The Maiden dominates the south end of the Flatirons in Boulder, Colorado and provides immense solitude, wild rock climbing, and an unforgettable descent. At first glance, the climbing looks improbable, but as you hike closer, many different routes start to weave their way to the top.

The Maiden is a full on adventure climb, with lots of hiking, traversing, down-climbing, and even a little caving. The two most common climbing routes to the top are the North Face (5.6) and the East Ridge (5.10c). Both routes provide phenomenal rock climbing to the top of the formation where the real fun begins.

A free hanging rappel off the summit is sure to tickle your toes as you descend to the Crow’s Nest. This rappel is absolutely out of this world and gives you a good look at one of the classic Boulder test-pieces West Overhang.
