Course Instructor/Apprentice Guide
While he might be a little rough around the edges, Isaac is no stranger to rock climbing or the mountains. He has been climbing for 9 years and was first exposed to the joys of climbing at a local Tulsa retail store at the age of 7.
After a considerable hiatus, he came back to climbing through a college program at Oklahoma State University in 2007. Once involved in the program, Isaac quickly fell into the local community and soon discovered the sandstone bouldering along the Cimarron River and the granite of the Wichita Wildlife Refuge.
The sparse climbing in Oklahoma gave Isaac a drive to discover new bouldering lines and crags. The strive to find hidden gems helped while he moved around New Mexico and West Texas, causing him to venture into Last Chance Canyon, become a prolific builderer, and build a love for scouting new lines!
Isaac is currently learning to lead trad and is enrolled in the Outdoor Education Program at Red Rocks Community College. He loves being an educator and thinks nothing is more rewarding then seeing a new climber with the confidence and knowledge to step into their own climbing adventure.
